This year there have been a total of 153 nominee entries across 14 categories – including the first Mental Health Champion of the Year Award.

Voting closes at midnight on Saturday 31 October 2020.

The three nominees who receive the most votes in each category will be placed on a shortlist, before a panel of judges – comprising a representative of the award sponsor, the previous year’s winner and a JEP employee – will select an overall winner in each category who will receive a prize worth £1,000 from their category sponsor.

‘It has been an extraordinary year and it is clear there are a lot of extraordinary people in our community who have gone the extra mile to help others through what has been a difficult time for many.

‘Each and every single person who has been put forward for an award deserves to be honoured, but there can only be one winner in each category.

‘So we are urging readers to spare a few moments to vote for their community champions and help them get the recognition they deserve.’
