THERE’S just over a week left to nominate a community hero.
All nominations for the Pride of Jersey awards 2025 must be submitted before Monday 11 August at 9am.
Organised by the Jersey Evening Post, the initiative is now in its tenth year and aims to recognise individuals or organisations that go the extra mile for their Island community.
Nominations can be submitted in any of the 13 available categories. They can be submitted by heading to the dedicated Pride of Jersey website or using the form available every day in the Jersey Evening Post.
Three nominees with the most votes in each category will become finalists, all of whom will be invited to an awards ceremony at the Royal Jersey Showground on 15 October.
Winners are chosen by a panel of judges from those shortlisted and will be announced on the night of the event. Each winner will be presented with a prize worth £1,000 from their category sponsor. The ceremony will also see the Gary Burgess Award presented to a community champion, with the winner chosen by members of the media and the late broadcaster’s loved ones.
Pride of Jersey 2025 is supported by joint main sponsors DFDS and Jersey Post.
To decide the shortlist, the public vote will open on 5 September.
