THERE are just a few days left to submit your votes for this year’s Pride of Jersey Awards.
A total of 173 nominees across 13 categories can be voted for this year as part of the tenth anniversary of the community initiative, which is organised by the Jersey Evening Post.
So far, almost 25,000 votes have been cast and Islanders have until 11.59pm on Sunday to do so.
The awards are designed to recognise individuals or organisations that go the extra mile for the community.
The three nominees with the most votes in each category will become finalists. The winners are chosen by a panel of judges from those shortlisted and will be announced at an awards ceremony on 15 October at the Royal Jersey Showground.
Each winner will be presented with a prize worth £1,000 from their category sponsor.
The ceremony will also see the Gary Burgess Award presented to a community champion, with the winner chosen by members of the media and the late broadcaster’s loved ones.
