Serving our island community is at the heart of everything we do at Jersey Post. Our much-loved team of posties keep islanders connected five days a week (with an extra parcel service on a Saturday morning), delivering in our electric vans, biofuel vans, on bike or foot, whatever the weather.
We’re regulated by the JCRA, who hold us accountable for our role in sorting and dispatching mail to the UK, and delivering in Jersey as quickly as possible. Our Universal Service Obligation (USO) also means that we’re committed to keeping prices as low as possible, with one price to post anywhere in the UK or on island.
Mail is sorted and despatched from sorting offices at Rue des Pres, Commercial Street and St Peter. We sort over 4 million parcels and 11 million letters annually; and have a network of 13 post offices and 128 post boxes around the island.
Jersey Post was established in 1969 and incorporated from the local Government in 2006. Jersey Post has also entered several other markets, which now make up Jersey Post Group – a global postal and logistics business. Our global logistics business is part of the UPU, and works with the best providers and a global partner network of over 190 countries.
We also set up a mailing house in 1996 to provide a bulk mail service for the offshore financial community. This now forms part of the group’s digital business, Vaiie, who have three core services – Onboard, Identify and Communicate.
